In 2018, NordicBet Brand Manager Ismail Valli and myself created this NordicBet Brand Campaign around the concept of 'For The Game'. In a series of three 60 second brand ads we showed how passion for sports, coupled with a determination to win and hard physical work, would result in sporting success. NordicBet was the Betsson brand most closely associated with sportsbetting, having a focus on offering odds all the way down to local leagues, to allow real sports fans the chance to bet on their favourite team. The films asked the question "All of this hard work,' 'And for what?' and the final payoff 'For the game.'
The first film in the series showed three different amateur sports enthusiasts giving their all in the pursuit of sporting excellence, leaving their bed in the early hours before dawn, training hard on the road and in the gym, experiencing setbacks and frustration, but never giving up on the dream.
The second film showed how patience and perseverance lead to incremental improvements in performance. Learn from your mistakes and never give up! is the takeaway from all this.
The final film in the trilogy shows how all the hard work eventually pays off, in the passionate celebration following the final victory. The joyous facial expressions of the victorious teams and their fans are hard to miss.
